Men’s Fashion Week Paris
After Milan, it is now the turn of Paris to host the Men’s fashion week. The most unusual show was presented by the young designer Kris Van Assche during the men’s fashion week in Paris. The 32-year- old designer made his models strip to their underwear on the ramp. Assche made some of his models stand on the catwalk wearing nothing but Scottish tartan, which by the way are very “in” these days. Assche collection comprises of jeans, skinny pants with side pockets cut at ankle length and big clumpy boots. The young Belgian designer, who graduated from the Antwerp Arts Academy, was presenting his winter male collection under his own label. He will also present his collection for Dior during Men’s fashion week in Paris. Assche was appointed in the place of Hedi Silmane in Dior.
Britain’s Blaak home designer duo, Sachiko Okada and Aaron Sharif, also presented their collection on Friday. The collection comprises of long shirts, which were drifting below jackets, short suits, skinny pants, top length boot and again the Scottish Tartan. The duo’s collection was mainly in black and grey. Another brilliant designer Kenzo presented his show, very dramatically, in the boxing hall of Paris stadium. The models were walking on the revolving the platform on the background theme, based on the story of the 19 th century Scottish trader who became a samurai. His collection comprises of pea coats, hunting jackets in heavy worsted wools and flannels. Kenzo’s sports wear collection comprises of multi pocket jackets and hand painted tea-stained t-shirts.
