Max Azria in New York Fashion Week

Max Azria in new york fashion weekOne of the top fashion designers in the industry, Max Azria, presented two shows in the New York Fashion Week, first for his newly acquired label Herve Leger and second for his own label BCBG. As Azria promised earlier, he kept the essence of Herve Leger designs alive by using bandage designs, which were very prominent in Herve Leger’s designs earlier. However, Azria used new fabrics in the bandage designs this time. He even used the pattern with the coats, jackets and pants this time for Herve Leger. A skin tight bandage dress with silhouette was fabulous. Another navy dress with subtle bands of black beading, shawl collar and flower appliqué was lauded most by the audiences. Herve Leger was launched in 1985 and Azria bought it ten years ago. In totality Herve Leger collection, which included everything from gowns, minis, trousers and day dresses, was definitely a hit.
But where some designers find it difficult to put a single decent show and instead throw tantrums, Azria presented another hit show for his own label “BCBG”. To begin with, Azria presented some beautiful muted dresses in shades of cream and gray. He used fabrics such as organza, wool, and flowing silks in contrast to give that exceptional and superb look. He even used bamboo in some of his dresses. All the models were sporting leather and wool layered belt, which is sure to become a rage soon. Azria flawlessly managed to keep his two shows completely different. Some designers need to learn lessons from him.
