Kira Plastinina, 15, is one of the top fashion designers in Russia. She launched her chain of stores in Russia three years ago, that means that she is designing the clothes since the age of 13. She is the daughter of Russian millionaire Sergei Plastinin, who was the co-founder of Wimm-Bill-Dann, Russia’s largest dairy and juice producer.

Some say that Kira has only managed to become what she is today, because of her millionaire father. But the fact remains that her brand has more than 40 stores in Russia, which shows her popularity in the country. Father Palstinin has quit his job at Wimm-Bill-Dann and now runs other businesses including the cOmmercial side of Kira’s stores. Kira has been appointed as the chief designer in her father’s stores. Kira’s is all to set to launch her clothes in US, as her father will soon open 10 store in the country, 5 in New York and 5 in Los Angeles, in 2008 with 40 other in pipeline. Kira even has backing of Paris Hilton, who was seen sitting on the front row during Kira’s show in Moscow. Although rumors are that Kira has paid Hilton $ 2 million for this. However, Hilton also visited Kira’s showroom where she had a look at Kira’s other designs. Kira said her clothes target women aged between 14- 25 years old. Kira herself attends school daily and goes to her stores directly from school for work. After finishing her school, she is planning to join the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, a London institution that has produced such fashion gurus as John Galliano and Hedi Slimane.
