Milan Men Fashion Week
Designers from across the world presented their collection in Men’s Fashion Week which commenced on Saturday in Milan. Dolce and Gabbana, one of the top designers in the fashion industry at present, presented their ideas for autumn/winter 2009. The duo presented innovative sheepskins jackets, wraparound woolen scarves and cloth caps in their menswear show. The collection was dominated by midnight blues, charcoal grey and black colours . The duo brilliantly used the Jodhpurs and high leather boots in their ensembles. The innovative designers also presented some velvet pants with leather patches on the inside. Leather patches were also used by the designers on the elbows of the shirts for that tough look. Woolen scarves in various shades rapped around the neck once or twice were part of most of the ensembles. Knit baggy jumpers in misty blue and grey colours were appreciated by the audience as well. Giorgio Armani also presented his collection, which was dedicated to the ski resort fashion, in the men’s fashion week. Singer Beyonce, Armani’s ad gal for Diamonds, also attended the show. Beyonce also attended the Versace show on Saturday. Top coat, with an extra long double-breasted military version in deep purple shade, made a comeback with Versace’s collection. Christopher Bailey also presented his collection on Saturday. The Burberry designer’s collection comprises of silk shirts, soft cardigan sweaters and legging-like trousers. Apart from all this Bottega Veneta also presented accessories for men comprising of shoulder bags in signature basket-weave leather, woven belts and rugged round-toed shoes.
