Balenciaga in Paris Fashion Week

Balenciaga in paris fashion weekAs the fashion critics are busy finding faults in the designs of the labels showing in the Paris Fashion Week, there is one designer who has managed to satisfy them all, Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga. Where most of the designers are looking back at the 50’s and 60’s for inspiration, Nicolas Ghesquièr has designed the clothes that define the future. His designs were ultra modern and innovative, above all they brought a breath of fresh air in the otherwise monotonous Paris Fashion Week.
Nicolas Ghesquière used lot of black in his designs. He presented black dresses with half sleeves, black stretch skirts, black skirts with squared off panels, and black leather dresses and skirts. He also used latex shiny paint and tapes. The latex tapes were tied around shoes and boots to give that ultra modern look. Hand painted Samurai Armour was also loved by 400 selected audiences at the fashion show. The crystal ball jewellery was also very attractive and sure to become a success. A set of crystal jewellery, on both hands and neck, was definitely attracting the attention of every single person sitting there. Hairs of most of the models were tied in a severe bun, leaving the audiences to focus on necklaces easily. Nicolas Ghesquière also presented MX-style trousers with speed stripes and low slung.  For finale Nicolas Ghesquière presented latex jackets, coats and dresses. Jackets hand painted with dragons, birds, land gnarled trunks were extremely attractive and futuristic. Nicolas Ghesquière has surely revived Balenciaga
