Chanel and Alexander McQueen create magic at Paris Fashion Week.

Chanel andAlexander McQueen creat magicat Paris Fashion WeekAlthough Chanel and British designer Alexander McQueen shows at the Paris Fashion Week were totally opposite to each other, but they both were quite outstanding. Where Alexander McQueen took inspiration from Queens of England and British Empire, Chanel’s show by Karl Lagerfeld was quite futuristic.

Let’s have a look at Alexander McQueen’s show first. Over 1000 audiences were present to see Alexander McQueen’s show at the Paris Pret-a-Porter, and they were not disappointed by the designer.  He presented a wonderful collection, which was inspired by Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke of Wellington and Napoleon and Josephine. The show was divided in two parts, the first comprises of black outfits of leather, velvet and laces inspired by the soldiers and British dukes. The second part was inspired by the queens, princes and queens at their royal best. The second session was filled with exquisites fabrics like velvet and satin embroidered with gold. But the most outstanding thing in the second session was the jewellery. On the other hand Chanel’s collection was futuristic and very much wearable. The collection comprises of suits, jackets, pearl, hats and pump. Karl Lagerfeld tried to make a statement by putting a carousel in the center of his runway. The designer used black and white in most of his designs, which included skirts, lacey tops and trousers. However, there were not too many handbags in the Chanel collection this time. But the show was still wonderful.
