The Fashion Week

The countdown for the Hong Kong fashion week begins as the four-day event scheduled to commence from January 14 is only two weeks away. The important fashion event will be accompanied by another annual fashion event, World Boutique, Hong Kong 2008.  

Both the event will be organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Over 1,740 exhibitors are expected to take part in both the events, out of which 1500 alone will take part in the 39 th edition of the Fall/Winter 2008 Fashion Week. All the latest trends in winter clothing, accessories, and shoes are expected to dazzle the fashion enthusiasts and buyers.  Famous designers and labels like Cecilia Yau, William Tang, Moiselle, Annie among others are expected to present their collection during the fashion week. Last year more than 25, 500 buyers from 111 countries attended the Fall/winter 2008 Fashion Week in Hong Kong.   Also over 19, 200 buyers from 96 countries visited World Boutique, Hong Kong. This year the organizers are expecting record breaking visitors from across the world. A Contest for Hong Kong’s young Designer for 2007 will also be held under World Boutique. The contestants will be asked to showcase their designs in casual, contemporary, and evening wear section and the winner will get the opportunity to showcase his designs in front of thousands of visitors from across the world.    The event will be organised at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will conclude on January 17, 2008.
